About The Event

Darwin's free Christmas Pageant brings community floats and festive celebrations through the city centre. The procession starts at the corner of The Esplanade and Knuckey Street and finishes on Smith Street at Civic Park, with schools, clubs and local organisations invited to participate. The parade runs from 6pm to 6.45pm. Visitors can also explore the separately scheduled Makers Market in The Mall from 4pm to 7pm, then continue to the tree lighting from 7pm and the Civic Park concert from 7.30pm to 9pm. Check the official event website before attending for the latest dates, times, programme, entry arrangements and any changes or cancellations.
