About The Event

It's that time of year again when the Gold Coast's absolute cream of hip hop and street culture come together in an alumni assembly for the return of the legendary and iconic event, 'RESPECT THE TECHNIQUE'. Take a curated journey through what has become known as the four elements, and experience the collective energy when dj's, mc's, writers, and breakers all perform together for an excursion through style that's not to be missed. This annual block party is traditionally held over two nights, and this year will be no different. The celebrations begin Friday, August 15 with an old skool jam chocked full of all your party favourites. Then, on Saturday, August 16, things really heat up with the full spectrum showcasing what makes this lifestyle so amazing.
